chad-trotGather up some friendly competition and head over to Zodos for the first annual Briner Bowl on April 18. Recreational Sports is hosting this Baker bowl style tournament remembering Chad Briner, great friend and colleague to the Recreational team. His involvement in the creation of Gauchosplay.com and love for Intramural Bowling has left a lasting impression on staff and friends and inspired the UCSB Recreational Sports Chad Briner Memorial Student Staff Development Fund.

No experience is necessary to participate, and spots are filling up fast, so sign up by April 16 to ensure your place in the tournament. You can create a team of 5 for a cost of $100 or join individually for $20. Stop by the Recreational Sports office to sign-up.

All individual players will be placed on a team the day of the tournament. The Baker system places emphasis on the team effort, calculating an average score for each team. All proceeds and 15% of all food and beverage sales will be donated to The Chad Briner Memorial Student Staff Development Fund.

Join us in celebrating the life of Chad Briner. It will be a day of bowling and fun!
