How Do Club Sports Work?
(1 vote, average 1.00 out of 5)
Clubs - History
Each team is a member of regional and national associations and competes at an advanced level against other colleges and universities.  Although teams travel and compete on a regional and national level, no experience is necessary to join a sport club.  Everyone is welcome and most teams offer instruction, recreation, and competition at various levels from novice to varsity.

Who Plays in Sport Clubs?
Clubs - History

Over seven hundred student athletes participate in UCSB's Sport Clubs Program. The program provides well structured and challenging intercollegiate competition for men and women. Sport Clubs are unique in that they are initiated, organized, and managed by students, providing opportunities to learn many valuable life skills such as management, organization, leadership, and social responsibility.  Our Sport Clubs program at UC Santa Barbara is also one of the most successful in the nation.  Cycling, Rowing, Sailing, Surfing, Triathlon, Soccer, Lacrosse, and Ultimate Frisbee have all been National Champions at least once in the past decade.
